Jam-Filled Oatmeal Bars

Jam Filled Oatmeal Bars
Jam-filled oatmeal bars are a sweet, simple treat with irresistible homestyle charm. A buttery oat and brown sugar crumble forms both the tender base and the golden, crumbly topping, sandwiching a generous layer of your favorite jam or jelly in between. Strawberry, raspberry, apricot, or grape all work beautifully, so you can switch it up every time. They’re easy to make, travel well, and are perfect for lunchboxes, bake sales, afternoon snacks, or a casual dessert with a cup of coffee.
Equipment
- 9 × 13-inch pan
- Mixing bowl
- Pastry blender or fork

- 1 ½ cups flour
- 1 ½ cups oats
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ¾ cup butter
- 1–2 cups jam or jelly
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Stir flour, oats, and brown sugar together. Using a fork or pastry blender, cut in butter until crumbly.

Notes
Choose the jam amount to suit your preferred filling thickness.
Stirring jelly before spreading makes it easier to spread.Â
